A series of small drawings - Chlorine Aqualung - produced during the 2020-21 corona virus pandemic.

All are the same size (10½ x 13½ inches) and mixed media on paper (charcoal, compressed charcoal, pastel, chalk, oil pastel, paintstick, pencil on photocopied drawings from my sketchbooks). Thi s isi the second series of drawings since the outbreak last yeaar nd the resulting political chaos; the notion of an unuseable toxic breathing aparatus seemed appropriate considering the political buffoonary that accompanied the rising number of cases and deaths. These drwings were/are a return to drawing, the joy of the activity, less extrovert than recent paintings, tonal and introspective.
